By accessing or using WriterHabits, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. User Content and Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create on WriterHabits. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your writings. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host and process your content solely to provide the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use WriterHabits for any unlawful purpose, to transmit harmful or offensive content, to harass other users, or to interfere with the Service.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid Tier subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the Service or any loss of data.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us during the most recent billing cycle preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States.

1. Information We Collect

We collect your name, email, and content you create. We also collect usage data (pages visited, device info) and writing metadata (word counts, frequency) to provide the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service, send notifications you configure, process payments, improve features, and ensure security.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (Stripe, Twilio, Google, Fastmail) as needed to operate the Service, or as required by law.

4. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit via TLS/SSL. Passwords are encrypted. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe.

5. Your Content

All writings are private by default. You control what you share with groups. You retain full ownership of your content.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for session management only. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, download, or delete your data at any time through the Settings page. Upon account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
