SMS Text Message Notifications — Consent & Opt-In

Overview

WriterHabits offers SMS text message notifications as an optional feature to help users stay engaged with their writing goals.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using WriterHabits or any of its features.

How Users Opt In

Users may opt in to receive SMS messages by completing the following steps:

  1. Create a WriterHabits account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Text messages
  3. Enter a valid mobile phone number
  4. Check the consent checkbox (unchecked by default)
  5. Your consent choice is saved automatically when you check or uncheck the consent checkbox

Users must then create at least one notification configured to be delivered via SMS.

No SMS messages are sent unless the user has:

WriterHabits does not charge separately for SMS notifications. However, message and data rates may apply depending on the user’s mobile carrier plan.

Privacy

Phone numbers are used solely for the purpose of delivering SMS notifications requested by the user.

WriterHabits does not sell or share phone numbers with third parties. Phone numbers are shared only with our SMS provider for message delivery.
